Useful street art to underline the connection beetween cycling and sustainability.

The more cyclists the better the city- cycling has great benefits regarding traffic, and air pollution, that is why it is in every city’s best interest to encourage it. The ways to do that could be through building infrastructure, or communication campaigns. We wanted to combine these and create street furniture which is also a communication tool, with a clear message.

We decided to create a unique bike rack that shows the link between cycling and sustainability. The choice of colour was adapted to the city’s brand and we cooperated with various city authorities to select both the final design and the final installation sites, so that they could be placed where they were most needed and fit their surroundings.

The leaf as a symbol is clearly linked to ‘green’ thinking, to environmental protection, and as we lock our bikes to the leaf, we link cycling to environmental protection.
